ALTERNATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY
Since the age of Seven I have adored a camera. Growing up in the 60s, with my father taking photos of me , I recall not always being happy as the model.
One occasion he hid behind a tree in Clissold park and I recall looking around abandoned and felt petrified only to the see my father taking photos from behind a big tree.
There was another photo I recall well, as I banged my elbow and cried yet he still took a photos of me.
I have a passion in emotion and movement in photos, I am not a lover of still photography I like to see life and energy within all my photos.
My still photography usually represents more then a picture but a thought a history or a story within the photo.
I adore photographing Bands and people of many scenes, energy across photography.
Built my own darkroom from the age of 11, spending many a night in the dark room was a great experience., my bathroom with the infa-red bulb, smelly chemicals and stop clocks.
I don’t know what’s happened to my photos in the 70s and 80s I had many.
I am not sure what happened to my equipment my enlarger and passion seemed to go when I started to form a relationship with my partner.
I then went on to have 4 children and my passion was still there but not used so back in 2004 I grabbed a Nikon that I had never used and went back in to the world of photography but this time not manual so I was a bit frustrating at times.
Now I am on my third Nikon and feel limbless with out my camera.
I am he alternative photographer I am not the normal standard photographer for weddings and portraits yet I can do this in the alternative way. If you desire a different side to you photos bringing the life into your photos and he funny side then its me you need to hire.
